Updated: Thieves target RDA trailer
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
UPDATE: Surrey Police report that this trailer has been found and returned to the owners. Thanks to everyone who put the word out - obviously rare to recover such goods but great news!
Anunusual white, 2-horse, Diamon Star trailer has been stolen from Epsom in Surrey.
Belonging to the chair of the local Riding for the Disabled group it is often used to transport the ponies to demonstrations, competitions and vets.
Owner, Stella Milne, says, 'I cannot believe that anyone would come onto a charity's property and steal from them. I can only hope that as it is of an unusual make someone might spot it for us but trailers are very saleable and we are close to the new emission zone.'
This is the latest item to be taken in a string of thefts from the Surrey area, a county often targeted in the weeks leading up to The Derby.
If anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of this trailer they are welcome to contact Epsom RDA on 03083 930363 or email riding@epsomrda.org.uk
The theft took place on the evening of Monday 21st April 2008.
