Good Result for Endurance Riders

Barroco D'Alva in Portugal, hosted the European Endurance Championships on Saturday (8 September) with over 20 Countries taking part. fielded 88 starters with 36 completions.
36 of the 88 starters completed with the British riders putting up a fantastic performance.
The British team of Sally Hall riding Sire deBozouls, Fiona Hamilton riding Sharifah, Nicky Sherry riding Shimmering Blue Jasmine, and Chris Yeoman riding Farouk De Lozelle, gradually moved up the field throughout the day. Fiona finished in 20th place, Chris in 23rd place and Nicky 34th. Sally was unfortunately eliminated at Vet Gate 4 .
Susan Hawes riding Jade Rani and Jayme Bone riding Krayaan Jesra rode as individuals, Susan finished in18th place, whilst Jayme was sadly eliminated at Vet Gate 3.
This left the team in 5th place in the European championship and 6th in the Open Championship.

- 2nd - Jean Phillippe Frances - France -at a speed of 19.077kph
- 3rd - Jaume Punti Dachs - Spain - at a speed of 19.074kph
